ソフトバンクは10月15日、日本通運と共同で物流業界のデジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）を支援する新会社「MeeTruck（ミートラック）」を4月に設立したことを発表。また、同日よりトラック輸送を担う物流事業者向け配車支援サービスの提供を開始したと発表した。 物流業界には、ドライバー不足やECの急拡大にともなう荷量の急増など、さまざまな課題があると説明。両社は、テクノロジーを活用してこれらの課題を解決することを目指し、MeeTruckを設立したという。株主構成はソフトバンクが51%、日本通運株が49%となる。 ソフトバンクは、物流のサプライチェーン全体の最適化を目指し、これまでにラストワンマイル配送やIoT宅配ボックスに関する実証実験を行っており、今回新たにトラック輸送領域にも参入する。一方の日本通運は、倉庫業務における自動走行フォークリフトや自律協働型ピッキングロボットなどの技術を積極的に導入している。今回、社外のステークホルダーも多いトラック輸送の現場にDXをもたらすべく、新たな取り組みを始める。 新会社の第1弾サービスとなるのは、トラック輸送を担う物流事業者向けの クラウド型配車支援サービス 。物流事業者は従来、トラックの割り当て作業やスケジュール管理を、紙やホワイトボードで手書きすることが多く、配車業務の効率化が課題となっていたという。また、システムを導入する場合も、導入・管理コストや運用の負担が大きく、デジタル化が進みにくい状況にあったという。 第1弾のクラウド型配車支援サービス そこで、受注した運送業務の案件登録やトラックの割り当て、勤務計画表の作成などをウェブアプリケーション上で可能にし、デジタルデータとして一元管理できるサービスを提供する。ソフトバンクが企業のDXを支援する中で得た知見と、日本通運が長年培ったロジスティクスに関する知見を生かし、運用しやすく操作性に優れたサービスを低価格で提供することで、業務効率化を支援するとしている。今後は、サービス利用者の要望を基に柔軟かつ継続的にサービス開発・改善を行い、受発注や実績管理などの機能を拡充する予定。 さらに、第2弾サービスとして、トラック輸送を担う物流事業者や荷主企業向けに、両者をつなぐマッチングサービスを2021年度中に提供する予定だという。このサービスにより、貨物を探す物流事業者とトラックを探す荷主企業が、それぞれの条件に合う貨物やトラックを簡単に見つけられるようになるとしている。将来的には、第1弾の配車支援サービスの提供により得た知見やデータを基に、AIなどの先端テクノロジーを活用し、サービス利用者のニーズや傾向に応じた、より高品質なマッチングの実現を目指すという。 Source:
