美国联邦通信委员会(Federal Communications Commission, 简称FTC)周四表示，部署更多SpaceX卫星将符合公众利益，但没有立即批准该公司寻求发射近3万颗卫星的要求。不过FTC的命令为SpaceX未来进一步部署卫星留下了余地。
FTC在命令中称，决定把批准发射的卫星数量限制在7,500颗，以此解决对空间安全和轨道碎片的担忧。FTC还对SpaceX在哪里部署这些卫星提出了条件，并制定了其它规则。
